About me
I hold an MS in Organizational Leadership with a focus in Project Management and a BS in Molecular and Microbiology. With over four years of experience in infectious disease monitoring and wastewater-based epidemiology, I currently serve as the Coordinator for the Colorado National Wastewater Surveillance System (NWSS) Center of Excellence. My work bridges science and community, and I’m especially passionate about equity-centered public health practices. I’m in the process of publishing an article titled “Community Engagement for Wastewater Assessment in Tribal Communities,” which reflects my commitment to inclusive research. Talk to me about engaging marginalized communities, using intentional and inclusive language in communication, and incorporating Indigenous methodologies and ways of knowing into science and public health. I’m always excited to connect around ethics, equity, and culturally responsive approaches to public health.
